The Restaurant Pizzeria is situated in the heart of Rione Monti, on the famous Piazza degli Zingari, a place that reminds of an old medieval hamlet.
In ancient times that place was best known for its great acoustics and was used by gipsy people for their street performances.
in the 50s the place became the set for the film "La banda degli onesti" with the legendary Totò! Despite the flowing of times, here the atmosphere seems to have been stopped, trapped in the scents of the old Rome.
During the years "Grazie a Dio è Venerdì" has become the synonimous of "good pizza", thanks to the genuine ingredients and to the wood-burning oven, the symbol of the venue.
That oven in years has cooked the best doughs, still keeping the ancient structure structure of the old bakery.
Two cosy salas, fresco painted by the artist Ilir Zefi, can accomodate up to 75 people.
It offers a PIZZA MAKING SERVICE with complete lesson and dinner!!!
